Homemade Sugar-Free Ginger & Lime Lemonade

This is a great thirst quencher on a hot summers day and is so easy to make.  It also makes a great drink alternative for kids parties and you can make it really attractive for kids buy adding some thinly sliced apples, mandarin segments, strawberry slices or any other berries you have on hand. Frozen berries work very well too.

Lemonade

Ginger and lime is one of our favourite combinations but the possibilities for flavouring and decorating are endless – sliced blood oranges, pomegranate, passion fruit, watermelon, cucumber slices or lemongrass, anything goes!

 

Ingredients:

50g Stevia Erylite
100ml water
1L of carbonated water
Juice of 1 lemon
Juice of 1 lime
A few thin slices ginger and lime

Instructions:

Add the Stevia and water to a small sauce pan, turn on the heat on low and stir occasionally until the Stevia has dissolved. It is important not let the water boil. Now add the Stevia ‘syrup’ to the sparkling water, pour in the juice of lemon and lime and stir well. Chuck in the sliced ginger and lime, you can grate some of the ginger into the drink if you like it extra gingery.

Fill the jug with ice just before serving.
