Erylite (Erythritol) is created via a fermentation process. Erythritol is also found naturally in honey, grapes, sugar beet and melon.
As it’s less sweet than table sugar, we combine it with Stevia, which is much sweeter than sugar. (Stevia is also a naturally derived sweetener, extracted from the Stevia plant.)
Erylite also neutralises Stevia’s slightly bitter aftertaste.http://drcoys.ie/index.php/admin/catalog_product/edit/id/17/key/b615f73704bed9cd755ae2b955310dec/
The result is a very pleasant sweetness.
Health Claim: Frequent consumption of sugars contributes to tooth demineralisation. Consumption of foods containing erythritol instead of sugar may help maintain tooth mineralisation by decreasing tooth demineralisation.
Health Claim: Consumption of foods containing erythritol instead of sugar induces a lower blood glucose rise after meals compared to sugar-containing foods.
Stevia Erylite doesn’t influence blood sugar levels and is suitable for those following low-glycemic eating plans, and anyone seeking a naturally derived sugar alternative.
Stevia Erylite can be used to replace sugar in a 1:1 ratio.
Add it to drinks and fruit – use it to make ice cream – bake and cook with it – or just stir it into your coffee.
